Council to Act on Final Reading of Utility Ordinance

The Sheridan City Council will consider on third and final reading an ordinance establishing a municipal power enterprise. The Council passed the ordinance on second reading two weeks ago with the understanding that it may be tabled on third reading due to a request from an attorney representing Montana-Dakota Utilities. Council President John Heath.

At their last meeting, the Council appointed Jesus Rios to fill the vacant ward three position. Rios will officially be sworn in this evening to fill the seat vacated when Councilman Levi Dominguez resigned in January.

Prior to the regularly scheduled meeting, the Council will meet with County Commissioners to discuss areas of mutual interest. That meeting is set for 6 o'clock. The Council meeting will begin at 7 in Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall. The meeting will be broadcast live on AM 1410 KWYO.
