A contract with Arete Design Group of Sheridan was approved by the Sheridan City Council Monday night to assess the building located on City owned property at 103 North Gould Street in Sheridan.

City Councilman Jacob Martin asked City Public Works Director Lane Thompson why the City couldn’t utilize staff for the assessment.

The contract with Arete that was approved was for $22,000 and is being funded through allocations from the optional one-cent sales tax.
