As Sheridan College celebrates the end of another school year with graduation on Sunday, Sheridan Media finishes its coverage of the tech programs there as Sheridan Media’s Judy Hagerott brings us this story on the Construction Technology Program.

Whenever a city is alive and well, construction plays a major role in its vitality. The Construction Technology Program at Sheridan College reinforces that vitality by turning out some great builders. Instructor Josh Michelena explained the program.

Hands-on learning at its best, he said the two year program turns out some well-rounded carpenters.

It’s more than just using a hammer and nail.

The program began in 2005 and this year 13 students participated. Michelena said the program gives students skills that last a life-time.

98% of Sheridan College Tech graduates find employment before or soon after graduating.
