Conrad Assumes Chair of Workforce Development Council

The Wyoming Workforce Development Council has a new chairman. Governor Dave Freudenthal has appointed Jon Conrad to lead the Council through August 15, 2011.

In Conrad’s appointment letter, Governor Freudenthal said it is an honor to have talented and motivated leaders as his colleagues and it is his pleasure to welcome Mr. Conrad to the position. As Chairman, Conrad will guide the Council in establishing Wyoming’s role in workforce development. The Wyoming Workforce Development Council serves as the advisory board for the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services.

Wyoming Department of Workforce Services Director Joan Evans says that Conrad will bring a lot to the Council.

Conrad is currently the Distribution Manager at FMC Corporation, one of the world’s foremost, diversified chemical companies with leading positions in agricultural, industrial and consumer markets. Prior to his position at FMC, he served 21 years in the United States Air Force and holds degrees in Aircraft Avionic Systems, Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration. Conrad also serves on the Uinta County School District No. 4 Board of Trustees.
