Concessions, Garden, Appointment At Buffalo Council Meeting

At their last meeting, the Buffalo City Council discussed and approved a request by the Buffalo Youth Baseball Association to locate and operate a concession trailer at Prosinski Park from May 1 through July 15th.

Boby Legerski requested the city allow a proposed community garden to be located on city property.
He gave a presentation showing a number of other gardens he has helped design and implement in the area, and discussed how he would recruit users and community members to build and maintain the facility.
The council suggested he discuss the idea with Public Works Director Les Hook to see if there is suitable city-owned land that could be used and come back before the council to discuss the matter further.

Finally, Mayor Randy Dyess gave a recommendation to the council to appoint Joe Hulet to the Buffalo Tree Board for a two-year term.
The council unanimously approved his recommendation.
