The Sheridan County community has by all accounts done an excellent job this summer of making safe choices during large gatherings. Sheridan County Sheriff Allen Thompson said that after a statistically backed safe Sheridan WYO Rodeo week, Dayton Days at the end of July yielded similar results.

It seems like safety has become a trend for 2019 summer events as Story Days data was similarly positive.

The last big test is Labor Day weekend as the three day, end of summer holiday is widely considered the last summer hurrah. Sheriff Thompson encourages the community to keep with the trend by making sure you are planning ahead and making safe choices.
