Committee Reaches Deal on Supplemental Budget

A conference committee has reached a supplemental budget deal, according to State Senator Dave Kinskey of Sheridan.

Kinskey said the committee has been at odds trying to get the agreement done, and he wasn't sure there was going to be an easy positive outcome until recently.

Kinskey said the process is how government was designed to work by the Founding Fathers.

Although the final bill has not been adopted and there is still some work that needs to be done, Kinskey said a straw poll of the legislators involved in the conference committee showed they would vote in favor of the agreement for the roughly $3 billion supplemental budget for the state.
