Commissioners Appoint Viewer to Consider County Road Petition

The Sheridan County Commissioners Tuesday appointed County Engineer Ken Muller as viewer to consider a petition from Nathan Mullinax requesting that Industrial Road be established as a County road. Commissioner Mike Nickel.

Commissioners also discussed looking into how the request correlates with the the memorandum of understanding with the City. Commissioners also proclaimed April as Month of the Military Child.

A grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency was approved to help stabilize the bank of the Tongue River along Tongue Canyon Road.

The project has an estimated cost of $100,000. The FEMA grant will cover almost $75,000 of that amount with 25 percent matching funds to come from a Countywide Consensus grant, a Wyoming Department of Agriculture Water Quality grant and contributions from private landowners.
