Commission Oks Wireless Towers for Arvada, Clearmont

Wireless cell-phone towers may soon be erected to service Clearmont and Arvada and the Kendrick area.

Proposals from Chad and Debra Klaahsen and Robert and Mary Moore were approved this morning by the Sheridan County Commission.

Both couples applied for conditional use permits to erect a cell tower to be owned and operated by Mercury Towers. Both towers would be located on property that's zoned agricultural, the Klaahsen tower about 150 feet east of Thompson Creek Road and the Moore tower 600 feet south of U.S. 14/16.

The commission also approved a contract with O'Dell Construction of Sheridan to administer the reconstruction of the exhibit hall at the county fairgrounds in Sheridan and a funding agreement with the city for the Sheridan Incubator Facility, and recognized Deputy County Attorney Lynn Smith for her 10 years of service to the county.
