The Sheridan Police Department is inviting the public to sit down and have a cup of Joe with them while discussing community issues and answering any questions that people may have. Sheridan Police Lieutenant Travis Koltiska says the “Coffee with a Cop” program is a national initiative aimed at connecting with the community.

Koltiska said similar events are being held across the country in an effort to make lasting connections between law enforcement and the public.

The first “Coffee with a Cop” will be Monday at 5:30 pm at Starbucks in Sheridan. Koltiska said they intend to make it a regular event that will take place at different locations throughout the City.
