“On Climbing Cho Oyu”

Local mountain climber, Darren Rogers, presented a program on his recent climbing expedition of Cho Oyu, Tuesday night in the Thorne-Rider Campus Center of Sheridan College.

Climbing Cho Oyu, the world's sixth highest mountain peak is not for the feint of heart. Rogers trained vigorously for the climb, but once there, he says it was the quirkiness of his climbing party that challenged him mentally.

The rewards of the trip far outweighed any obstacles.

For Rogers, this climb was a test run for bigger things.

Rogers hopes to climb Mount Everest this coming Spring.
