Clean Audit For City of Buffalo

The City of Buffalo has received a clean audit for fiscal year 2018, according to Chelsea Feeman, with Cloud Peak Accounting.

Feeman gave the firm's report to the city council at this week's meeting, giving an “unmodified opinion” on the city's financial statements, which is essentially a clean audit, and finding no issues.

She said overall the city has $82.5 million in assets, including $11 million in cash. The city has $6.8 million in loans.

The city's enterprise funds, such as water, sewer, and sanitation show assets of $50.5 million with $3 million in cash and $6.2 million in debt.

These enterprise funds need to be self-sufficient, according to Feeman.

The council voted to accept the audit report from Cloud Peak Accounting.
