City/County Engineer To Begin Greenleaf Drainage Study

City/County Engineer To Begin Greenleaf Drainage Study

City/County Engineer Wayne Hill gave an update the the city council on the status of a number of projects he is working on or will begin shortly, including drainage issues in the Greenleaf Subdivision and how to reslove standing water in the neighborhood.

Hill told the council he believes he now has the tools with which to complete the study and find a solution to the problem.

Hill said he has also studied the drainage problem at Watkins and Burritt Streets, completing the design for a structure to collect runoff at the intersection and deliver it to an existing catch basin farther down on Watkins Avenue. He feels this will alleviate the water running into a private driveway at the intersection and onto their property.

Hill also said he is working on water rights from annexations and will be meeting with WYDOT on the possibility of getting flashing School Crossing Signs for school zones in the city.
