City Works To Change Ordinances Dealing With Development

The Sheridan City Council is considering an ordinance that would require a traffic study for site plan approval in planned unit developments. City Public Works Director Nic Bateson tells us why the study is necessary.

The study could be done when the PUD is approved and that traffic study would be valid for all future site plans within the PUD. The ordinance was approved on first reading unanimously.

The Council also approved an ordinance that would require signed City infrastructure agreements before any Department of Environmental Quality permit could be recorded for subdivision developments. City Councilor Ryan Mulholland.

Both ordinances will require two more readings before becoming law.
