City of Sheridan officials learned of a hit to a water main near the 5th Street bridge along the bike path late Tuesday afternoon. Utilities Director Dan Miller says that the incident may have caused some temporary water pressure issues for residents.

An accidental hit to the water main by a contractor that was doing some boring work on the pathway was what caused the leak.

Miller said that for a short time, water levels for the storage tanks at the Sheridan Water Treatment Plant were very low, but that they had ended up refilling more quickly than he had anticipated.
