The City of Buffalo will be paying off three separate loans after amending the budget for FY2014, according to Mayor Randy Dyess, who made the announcement at a recent city council meeting.

The council passed Resolution No. 1378, amending the 2014 budget to appropriate additional funds from the General Fund Reserves to pay for increased costs in the Street Department, Water Department and Sewer Department.
Additionally, the city desired to pay off Wyoming Water Development Commission (WWDC) loans for the 18” water transmission line from the treatment plant into town; the diversion dam project; and the work on the raw water line.
All three projects' loans amounted to just over $455,000.

Mayor Dyess explains why the council decided to pay off the
three loans.

The loan amounts were, rounding off, $336,000 for the 81-inch water line; $21,000 for the raw water line; and $91,000 for the diversion dam.
