Officials with the City of Sheridan feel that a more thorough analysis of a Sheridan landmark is needed. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

In the City of Sheridan Parks and Recreation Master Plan Update 2019 Community Survey, Kendrick Park Pool rated as one of the top priorities for investment for recreation facilities. When asked how important it was to see that the pool be renovated or rebuilt, 71 percent of respondents agreed that it was important, with 48 percent strongly agreeing, and 23 percent simply agreeing.

City Administrator Mark Collins said that the results of the survey have changed the scope of a planned analysis of the pool.

The City has budgeted up to $90,000 for an in-depth analysis of the pool and will move forward on a Request for Proposals for the assessment.

Collins said that the $90,000 requested for the analysis is part of the City’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year that will be considered by the Council at their upcoming meeting Monday night.
