Earlier this year, the Sheridan City Council approved a lease of property at 103 North Gould in Sheridan. The building on the property was previously occupied by C & C Tire.

In June, the City opened up the adjacent parking lot on the property to help alleviate some of the downtown parking issues. At a Council study session Monday night, City Public Works Director Lane Thompson had this request from the Council in regard to the future of the building that sits on the property.

Thompson will bring a proposal before the Council at their upcoming meeting to authorize up to $25,000 to be spent on an engineering study of the old C & C building. Currently, the City is leasing the property with the expectation of purchasing the property if the Optional One Cent Sales Tax is renewed by voters during next month’s General Election.
