The City of Sheridan is in the process of hiring a consultant to perform a comprehensive Safety and Risk Management Assessment. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

After preparing and soliciting a Request for Qualifications, staff with the City of Sheridan received three proposals from consultants to perform a Safety and Risk Management Assessment. City Human Resources Director Heather Doke addressed the City Council at their meeting earlier this week about the assessment.

Doke said that they have $29,800 budgeted for the assessment and that the recommendation of PayneWest Insurance will be considered by the Council at their next regularly scheduled meeting. She said that a selection committee, after interviewing the top two firms, selected PayneWest Insurance to conduct the initial assessment based on the resources they have available to complete the assessment, examples of their work with other regional municipalities and their local presence.
