The Sheridan City Council wasted no time in working through a light agenda Monday night as they approved an ordinance to allow Sheridan County School District Two to enter into a franchise agreement with United Private Networks to provide a dedicated fiber optic network for all the schools in District Two.
Superintendent of District Two Craig Dougherty.
The item will need to pass two more reading by the City Council before it is finalized. Dougherty said that some of the schools within the District will start having access this upcoming August, while the last school to receive fiber optics will be in the fall.
