City Council Approves Activities For Light Up Buffalo

Gene Sturlin, with the Buffalo Downtown Association, approached the Buffalo City Council at their last meeting, asking for permission for the use of fireworks and for a static display during the Light Up Buffalo celebration downtown.

Sturlin explained that State Senator Bruce Burns was once again willing to donate the fireworks and his time to put on a show the evening of November 30th in Prosinski Park.

A static display of lighted Christmas trees and other decorations would then be turned on in a small “Light Up Buffalo” ceremony in Crazy Woman Square following the fireworks display.
Vendors would also be available in the square with refreshments and other items for the public.

The council approved the requests from the BDA.
