City to Consider Changes to Design Approval Standards

Consideration of changes to City code pertaining to design review standards and procedures will be addressed by the Sheridan City Council this evening. A portion of the ordinance pertains to the procedure that developers have to follow when submitting plans for development within an entryway corridor or gateway district.

Both ordinances were created to keep the entryways and gateway areas into Sheridan looking good despite any future development. Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey says that modifying City code should clear things up regarding design review.

The Council will also receive an update on Cablevision's petition with the Federal Communications Commission to remove the City's authority to regulate cable rates.

The Council will also be updated on the progress of the relocation of Wyoming's Rib and Chop House to the corner of 5th and Main Street. Tonight's meeting will get underway at 7 o'clock on the 3rd floor of City Hall in Council Chambers. You can also listen to the meeting live on AM 1410 KWYO.
