The Buffalo City Council approved a request from the Chamber of Commerce to close Main Street downtown for their annual “Monster March” Halloween afternoon.

The closure will be from 4 to 6pm and will shut down Main Street from Fort Street south to Angus Street to allow for kids to trick-or-treat downtown.

Buffalo's annual Halloween tradition will be happening next Wednesday, October 31st.

Children, dressed up as monsters, superheroes, cartoon characters and other fun stuff will march through downtown to trick-or-treat local businesses for candy and other goodies in a supervised setting.

All kids are welcome at the event, and should line up at the museum/courthouse area just before 4 o'clock. From there, they will march south on the west side of Main Street to Angus Street where they will cross Main and head north to finish at the Chamber of Commerce.

The Monster March is a Buffalo tradition and a favorite annual event in the community.
