The Buffalo City Council voted to approve an amendment to the Joint Powers Board Agreement, after discussions at their meeting Tuesday night.

City planner Zach Montgomery explained the amendment to the Council.

Councilman Bruce Hepp asked why elected officials were allowed on this board and frowned upon on other boards, a question stemming from his not being appointed to the new Vision Buffalo Committee.

Montgomery explained that with economic development boards and committees, typically the chief elected officials, (mayor, commission chair, etc.) are placed on those boards or committees.

Hepp also requested the JPB produce financial statements and make them available.

The agreement was amended to show Kaycee as a new entity, and that financial statements would be furnished quarterly and/or as requested.

Council then passed the amendment.
