City Administrator Ordinance on Council’s Radar

In less than a month’s time, the Sheridan City Council may begin to consider a charter ordinance that would create the position of city administrator. Prior to their first regular meeting in September, the council will hold a work session at 6 regarding the city administrator position. Sheridan Mayor John Heath says that it won’t be long after that work session that council will begin consideration of the ordinance.

The mayor said that the city will most likely seek out help in finding the right person for the position if the ordinance is approved.

Heath said that the city has $160,000 budgeted for the position for the current fiscal year.
