Cheney Carries Republican Nomination for Congress

Wyoming's incumbent Liz Cheney has been reported the Republican nominee for Wyoming's lone seat in the U.S. House.

Cheney defeated Republicans Blake Stanley and Rod Miller in Tuesday's primary elections.

She now advances to the November general election, where she will face one of the two candidate vying for nomination on the Democratic ticket. Greg Hunter and Travis Helm, both of Laramie, are seeking the Democratic spot.

Cheney carried Sheridan County by more than 3,500 votes,2,000 more than Miller. She was elected to her first term in the U.S. House in 2016 after dominating the field of Republicans in that year's primaries.
