Charges Issued Through U.S. Attorney's Office

On November 1, William Tyler Midgett, 32, of Evansville, Wyoming was arrested in Casper. For being a felon and unlawful user of controlled substance in possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm not registered in the national firearms registration and transfer record, he received 37 months of imprisonment, to be followed by 36 months of supervised release, on each count, to be served concurrently. This case was investigated by the Casper Police Department and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Jerry Joseph Romero, 42, of Salt Lake City, Utah, was arrested in Sweetwater County, Wyoming on November 5 for being a felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime. He received a total of 93 months of imprisonment, to be followed by 36 months of supervised release, and ordered to pay a $200.00 special assessment. This case was investigated by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Loveless Daniel Naylor, 40, of South Bend, Indiana, was arrested in Cheyenne, Wyoming on November 5 for possession with intent to distribute heroin. He received 57 months of imprisonment, to be followed by 48 months of supervised release, and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $500.00 and a $100.00 special assessment. The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation investigated this case.

On November 2, Guillermo Maldonado-Abarca, 34, of Denver, Colorado, was arrested in Casper for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States. Maldonado-Abarca received time served plus ten days to allow for deportation proceedings, twelve months of supervised release, and ordered to pay a $100.00 special assessment. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations investigated this case.
