The annual “Light Up Buffalo” events will change slightly this year, according to Buffalo Downtown Association board member Julie Carpenter, who made the announcement to the Buffalo City Council at their recent meeting.

Carpenter said the Light Up Buffalo events will be moved from their traditional Saturday night after Thanksgiving to Friday, November 30th, to coincide with the events surrounding the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce's Lighted Christmas Parade and other festivities on Saturday, December 1st.

The idea is to make Buffalo a destination that weekend.

The Light Up Buffalo events will include fireworks at Prosinski Park at 6pm Friday, lighted Christmas trees on display in Crazy Woman Square, and others during the weekend.

The Lighted Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December 1st at 6pm downtown.

For more information on this year's Light Up Buffalo events, contact the Buffalo Downtown Association at (307) 620-5308 or stop by 7 N. Main Street downtown.
