Scottish director Steven Lewis Simpson took on an adaptation of best-selling novel Neither Wolf Nor Dog by Kent Nerburn, and thus far the non-Hollywood film has seen incredibly successful ratings. With a score of 4.7/5 on Rotten Tomatoes, Neither Wolf Nor Dog has defied the laws of Hollywood by outperforming numerous blockbusters in ratings and seeing nationwide success despite their small film crew and use of crowdfunding.

Neither Wolf Nor Dog showcases contemporary and historical Lakota life and culture, and stars Dave Bald Eagle, a Lakota actor who played an integral part in the audience’s connection to the film, according to Simpson.

The film will be showing at Sheridan’s Centennial Theater starting October 12, and will be available to view there for at least one week, according to a news release.
