Cell Phone Use and Driving

As cellular phones become more prevalent in our society, the use of cellphones while driving continues to be a hot button issue. During a recent interview on our news talk show Public Pulse, Sheridan Police Lieutenant Travis Koltiska explained what the law is in Wyoming, and Sheridan, regarding cellphone use and driving.

Koltiska said that while illegal, texting and driving is becoming far too common.

According to the website http://www.textinganddrivingsafe..., 10 states including the District of Columbia, prohibit the use of handheld cellphones while driving, and 39 states, including the District of Columbia prohibit all drivers from texting.
