Cato Fire In Sheridan County Fire Line Is Established

Sheridan County fire warden, Bill Biastoch, reports firefighters have successfully established a fireline around the portion of the Cato wildfire that extends into Sheridan County.

However, he cautioned it will be three to four days before he feels confident that portion of the fire is contained, as spotting or spreading by the wind may still occur. Most of the Cato fire is in Johnson County, which was estimated to be 20 percent contained at 5:30 this morning.

Biastoch is anticipating he will get an update from the Bureau of Land Management soon.
