The Sheridan City Council held their monthly study session Monday night at City Hall. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

The Sheridan and Johnson County Critical Air Service Team, or CAST, is requesting additional one cent funds from the City of Sheridan for their share of the minimum revenue guarantee for Denver Air Connection, the airline that serves the Sheridan County Airport. CAST Administrator Renee Obermueller said that they are requesting an additional $100,000 from the City for the MRG. The City currently funds $250,000 of the MRG through the optional one cent sales tax. Obermueller said that they are requesting that the City budget the additional expense in their upcoming fiscal budget that begins July 1.

The Council also listened to a presentation on the Downtown Development Authority, and the options the Council has in regard to the DDA moving forward. We’ll have more on that story for you in the future, as well as additional items that were discussed at the monthly study session.
