A child riding a bicycle to school was slightly injured Wednesday morning when a vehicle hit the child, and the Buffalo Police Department is looking for the vehicle and the driver.

Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder tells us more.

The BPD received a report of a child being hit by a car on Parmalee, between Lobban and Main Streets in the alley intersection. The vehicle that left the scene of the accident is possibly a Toyota car of unknown color.
If you were involved in the accident or saw the accident, Carder would like you to please contact the Buffalo Police Department at 684-5581.

Carder added, “I want to stress to the public if you are involved in an accident please contact the Police Department and stay at the scene of the accident until the police arrive. Also with the weather turning nice please slow down and watch for pedestrians and children on our streets.”
Again, only minor injuries to the child were reported.
