Capital Facilities Tax On The Ballot In August

There are mixed reactions about the renewal of the Capital Facilities Tax that will be on the ballot later this month. Few of us like higher taxes but the Capital Facilities tax is a way to pay for projects that Sheridan County governments cannot fund any other way. This week's Sheridan Media - Bank of Sheridan poll questions is "Do you support renewal of the Capital Facilities Tax?" What do people think?

Although some citizens in Sheridan said that higher taxes are a pain, all most all agreed that the Capital Facilities tax is good because it helps in creating growth.

The special election to consider the tax is coming up on Tuesday, August 18th. Absentee ballots are currently available at the Sheridan County Courthouse in the elections office on the second floor.
