Cap Tax and Its Importance to the City

In just over a month, Sheridan County voters will decide whether to renew the Capital Facilities Tax for a maximum of $40 million over 8 years. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.


The tax is an optional one percent tax that's used to fund specific projects in Sheridan County and the municipalities within the county. City of Sheridan Clerk Scott Badley describes some of the more recent projects that were made possible due to the cap tax.

Badley explains that there are a lot of moving parts to the projects that are funded with the cap tax.
