Leland Christensen said he's been the target of a push-poll being run by Liz Cheney's campaign for about three months.

Christensen and Cheney are two of the Republican candidates running for Wyoming's sole seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, and Christensen, in Sheridan Tuesday for a candidate forum, said so far as he knows, he's the only candidate that Cheney has targeted with the push-poll.

He said that isn't the “Wyoming way."

He talked about how he learned of the smear campaign against him.

He said he feels like Wyoming voters are a little more savvy and won't be manipulated. And he charged that Cheney's is a campaign filled with manipulations and some outright lies.

Bill Novotny, Cheney's campaign manager, responded,"Our campaign has not conducted, and will not conduct, push polls. Liz Cheney is focused on policy solutions to reverse Barack Obama’s regulatory assault on Wyoming. This is the latest in a long string of false accusations and negative attacks by Leland Christensen in an effort to prop up his struggling campaign."

Christensen said Cheney is quick to blame the Wyoming Legislature, where he serves, for the state's economic woes, but said the state's economic woes are largely coming from Washington.
