The first of two candidate forums was held Wednesday night at Sheridan High School. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

The forum, organized by the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee, featured candidates for Sheridan City Council, Sheridan County Commission, Sheridan County Conservation District and Sheridan County School District #2 Trustees. Council candidates were asked how the City and County can be involved in solving the need for attainable housing. Candidate Aaron Linden answered first.

Next to answer was Candidate Erin Hanke, who referred to a current housing study being conducted by the City and SEEDA.

We will hear from candidates Patrick Henderson, Clint Beaver, Vixie Miller and Jacob Martin on the attainable housing issue in a future story. We’ll also be highlighting the County Commission candidates as well in an upcoming story. There will be another candidate forum this evening at 6 at the WYO Theater in downtown Sheridan. Tonight’s forum will highlight U.S. and state candidates.
