The Small Business Administration is a small business owner’s resource for loans and exporting. This is the message passed on Wednesday by the administration's regional director Matt Varilek during the Sheridan County Chamber lunch. He talked about the administration’s resources that owners could take advantage of. He said the goal of the organization is to help businesses start, grow and succeed. He said 30,000 jobs were created last year in Region 8, which covers six states, including Wyoming. He said the administration provides three Cees and a D. He went on to say that capital is what the administration is best known for, though he qualified that they do not loan the money, they provide loan guarantees. He said the administration supported $29 billion in lending to small businesses in fiscal year 2012 to present, which included 118 loans in Wyoming totaling $67 million and 22 loans in Sheridan County or $3.9 million dollars.
