Business Council Board Approves Rule Changes To A Couple Of Grant Programs

During a call-in meeting this week, the Wyoming Business Council Board of Directors approved various rule changes to the Business Ready Community and Community Facility Grant and Loan programs. Business Council CEO Bob Jensen.

The revised rules changed award and match amounts, adjusted the frequency of applications being accepted and made other revisions to public participation requirements. The rule changes are based on a grant plan approved by the board at their May meeting. That grant plan aligns with the Business Council's Business Plan, which was adopted in March 2009 and calls for increased leveraging of public and private dollars and continued infrastructure investments in communities.

The staff presented recommended changes to the original proposal that stemmed from public comments received July through September of last year. If adopted by Governor Dave Freudenthal, the rule changes become effective July 1, 2010. The proposed rule changes and the public comments received about the rule changes are available at
