Buffalo's Weekend Christmas Events a Success

Buffalo's big kickoff to the Christmas Season this past weekend was a big success, according to Buffalo Chamber of Commerce Director Angela Jarvis.

Events began Friad and continued into Saturday, ranging from great discount sales at area merchants to fun and eclectic sales and items offered for sale at numerous events all weekend long.

And of course, the big events were the annual chili feed and lighted Christmas Parade, which Jarvis said was as beautiful as ever.

Jarvis said the annual chili feed, held in Crazy Woman Square, normally serves 32 buckets of chili, which translates into roughly 2,500 bowls served to those that brave the cold to watch the lighted parade. There was a huge turnout this here again, and she reported no leftovers.

The first button number was drawn for Buffalo Bucks and this week's winning number is 1559. The winner has one week to claim their $100 prize or another number will be drawn. The next three drawings will be for $300 in Buffalo Bucks each week.

Finally, the parade float winners were announced, with the float from First National Bank taking the Commercial Category; the Youth Division was won by the 4-H Paws Project; and the Powder River Snowbuffs took the Adult Division and the Overall Winner categories.
