Buffalo/Jo Co Animal Control Agreement On City Agenda

Buffalo/Jo Co Animal Control Agreement On City Agenda

The Buffalo City Council will discuss and possibly adopt an agreement between the City and Johnson County for the City animal control officer to provide services to the County.

The discussion will be during the Council's regular meeting Tuesday evening. Buffalo Mayor Randy Dyess tells us more about the agreement.

Johnson County adopted new animal regulations recently and approached the City about providing the service. It will probably be tried on a probationary period before being reviewed. The Council is expected to adopt the agreement.

Also on the agenda for Tuesday, Ordinance No. 1350 and No. 1351 will have their second reading dealing with subdivision and development code and zoning.

More discussions are expected on the proposed joint City/County engineer position.

Roof repairs on the Buffalo Senior Center will also be addressed.

And the Buffalo Downtown Association will be looking for Council approval for the organization to become a certified Main Street Program.

The meeting will begin at 5 pm at Buffalo's City Hall.
