Buffalo's CCMS To Host Music Festival

Buffalo's CCMS To Host Music Festival

Clear Creek Middle School in Buffalo will host the Northeast District Junior High Solo and Ensemble Music Festival this Saturday, March 26th.

7th and 8th graders from Buffalo, Tongue River and Clearmont will perform in the vocal, brass, woodwind and percussion categories both individually and in a group setting.

CCMS music teacher Cindy Phillips tells us more about the festival.

The students will perform in front of an adjudicator that specializes in that particular instrument or voice, and will receive ratings and suggestions on how they can improve. The ratings are I-Superior, II-Excellent, III-Good, IV-Fair, and V-Needs Improvement.

Adjudicators for this year are Brent Rose of Buffalo High School for instrumental students; and Steve Grussendorf from Casper for vocalists.

The Festival will begin at 8am Saturday and wrap up at 5pm, at Clear Creek Middle School in Buffalo. It is free and open to the public, who are encouraged to come and support area music students.
