Buffalo YMCA Building Sustains Roof Damage

Mike Quast, Director of the Johnson County Family YMCA in Buffalo, reported to the Buffalo City Council that the city-owned YMCA building had recently sustained more damage to the roof.

Quast began by giving a report to the city council at their Tuesday meeting on their plans with the old archery building and possible plans for the YMCA to use the Prosinski Park site, before giving them the news of the damaged roof.

Quast said after a recent wind storm YMCA personnel noticed tin on the property that looked familiar, and he explained what happened
next.

Mayor Mike Johnson wanted to know what Quast had done so far to move ahead with getting the roof repaired.

Mayor Johnson asked Quast to get the estimates for repair on the roof to the council as soon as possible as they will be entering into budget discussions soon, which Quast agreed to do.

We will look into the rest of Quasts' report to the council later this week.
