Buffalo Watershed Project Public Meeting

The Bighorn National Forest will host a public meeting next Tuesday at 6 pm at the Johnson County Fire Hall on Volunteer Lane in Buffalo.

The focus of the meeting is to gather public input on a proposed project to maintain and enhance long term water quality in the Buffalo municipal watershed. Officials with the Forest Service will be on hand at the meeting to describe the conditions in the watershed and share the Forest Service’s initial, preliminary ideas for action.

Resource specialists in hydrology, wildlife, recreation, fire and fuels and forest vegetation will be available to meet one-on-one and answer questions. For more information on the project or the public meeting, you can contact the Powder River Ranger District in Buffalo at 307-684-7806.
