Buffalo’s Veterans Day Observances

Buffalo’s Veterans Day Observances

Today is Veteran’s Day and like many towns throughout the country, Buffalo will have their own services to honor veterans of all wars.
The parade of veterans will assemble at the corner of Fort Street and Adams Avenue at 10:45 and will then march to the Veteran’s Wall at Fort and Main Streets. The ceremonies will begin there at 11 o’clock.

The Invocation will be given by American Legion Chaplain Clarence Bishop and the Pledge Of Allegiance will be led by Post Commander Don Sillivan.
The Buffalo Girls State Delegates; Taylor Ballek, Hannah Danielson, and Bailey Rodriguez will perform the Flag Ceremony followed by the Wreath Presentation by the VFW Auxiliary.
This year’s Address will be given by Hyrum Ruby, 2013 Boys State Delegate from Buffalo.
The Benediction will follow, led by the Legion Chaplin, and the ceremonies will wrap with the VFW and Legion Firing Squad volley and the playing of "Taps.”
All citizens are encouraged to attend to pay respect and homage to all veterans.

An open house will follow the ceremonies at the American Legion Post No. 13 on Veterans Avenue in Buffalo, and all are welcome to attend.
