Help for some in the community is coming this Holiday season as the Buffalo Board of Realtors have launched their Holiday Food Drive that will gather donations for the local Bread Of Life Food Pantry.

Between now and December 31st, real estate offices in Buffalo will be collection points for donated food items.
Each office will collect and then deliver donated items to the local food pantry during the holiday season.

Food pantry Chairperson Pam McFadden said the need for donations has steadily increased in recent months.

Although the food pantry is in need of anything and everything, McFadden said they really need donations of meat.
Canned tuna, chicken, Spam-type products, or donated professionally processed game and domestic meats are always needed and highly valued, she said.
Their monthly budget just doesn't allow the purchase of meats, so they rely on donations to help families with those needs.
Other ideas for donations are boxed breakfast cereals, and items for the holidays such as chocolate chips or marshmallow cream, to go along with flour and sugar the pantry already provides to families.

Another real need is something few think about donating to the

McFadden added that “any donations are helpful and appreciated.”

To donate food for the Bread Of Life Food Pantry, drop off at the area real estate offices, or donate directly to them by dropping off at the rear of the Jubilee Hall across the street from the Buffalo Post Office at 178 S. Main Street.
