Buffalo Public Works Reports Projects, Award To City Council

Buffalo's Public Works Director Les Hook gave his report to the city council last week, saying the new 2-hour parking signs have been installed downtown.

Work on the foot bridge at Washington Park is scheduled to be completed by the Memorial Day Weekend. The decking on the bridge will be removed and replaced, according to Hook.

Hook also requested that the street department be moved to a 4-day/10-hour work week through the summer months and that the Parks Department's hours be set from 6am to 2pm for the summer, which were both approved by the council.

Mayor Randy Dyess asked Hook to pass along some good news to Ronnie Young and the rest of the staff at the water treatment plant.

The award will go on display at the plant, according to Dyess.
