Buffalo Police Release Information On School Threat

The Buffalo Police Department and Johnson County School District #1 officials are working together to investigate a threat involving Clear Creek Middle School.

According to a release from Police Chief Jason Carder, on Thursday, February 7th at about 7 that morning, the police department was alerted to a threat related to Clear Creek Middle School.
The threat was referencing a weapon being brought to school.
The police department began an investigation into the incident and worked with the school administration to identify the potential threat and ensure the safety of the students.

Chief Carder also said the police department, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, school district and the County Attorney’s Office have taken action to ensure the continued safety of the school and other members of the community.

Carder added that the Buffalo Police Department will continue to work closely with Johnson County School District #1 on this investigation, with the common goal to ensure that teachers, staff, and students have a safe environment.
