Buffalo Police Chief: New Dispatcher, Compliance Checks

At their last meeting, the Buffalo City Council received the report from Police Chief Jason Carder.

Carder said the department has hired a new dispatcher, Tyson Reiger, that will start this coming Saturday, March 16th.

Officers performed tobacco sales compliance checks on February 22nd, checking 16 different establishments in Buffalo. Only one establishment sold to a minor, according to Carder.

Animal Control Officer Karen Kimutis responded to five calls in the county last month and the county will be billed $250 for the calls.

Carder also reported that the BPD was involved in the high-speed chase last month involving two juveniles from Montana that ended in a crash south of Buffalo.

The department overall responded to 1,214 incidents during the month of February, according to Carder's report.
