Buffalo Police Chief: New ACO, Monthly Report

Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder reported to the city council that the city now has an Animal Control Officer (ACO), effective July 1st.

Dani Guyton transferred from dispatch and is now the city's ACO, replacing former ACO Karen Kimutis, who took a position with the Johnson County Sheriff's Department on March 1st.

There was no ACO report for the month of June, but Guyton will begin the reports as of July.

Chief Carder also reported that there were 1,272 incidents reported in the city, with 260 traffic stops as the largest number of incidents during the month of June, followed by 124 civil incidents, and 103 security checks.

Dispatch handled nearly 3,800 total calls during the month.
